How to Play Pokémon Black/White on the Computer

Step-by-Step Directions with Screenshots

  1. Download No$GBA from one of the following links.

(I recommend downloading it here rather than elsewhere because the following links point to packages I have put together with all the required files. If you are concerned about getting a virus, wear rubber gloves .)

Notice: All of these connections will show you an advertisement before allowing you to download the file. This is the way I earn money and keep this website running. Please click the”Skip Ad” button in the top right corner to proceed to your download.

  2. (I am not providing links here since owning these ROMs without meeting certain circumstances are a breach of US copyright legislation, and I neither encourage nor help in the commission of illegal activity.)

  3. Extract the NO$GBA.ZIP archive that you just downloaded.
  4. Drag the ROMs which you downloaded into the BATTERY folder.
  5. Return to the primary NO$GBA folder and start NO$Zoomer.exe. When prompted, find and choose the ROM which you wish to play.
  6. Open the PKMNBW.TXT document and then copy the code under the game variant which you want to playwith.
  7. Press F2 or go to Alternatives → Cheats to open the Cheats interface. Paste the code you just copied into the text box, give it a title, pick Action Replay DS, then click OK. When it appears on your cheat listing, double-click it to allow it.
  8. Reset the cartridge by clicking File → Reset or hitting the * key on your numpad.
  9. Begin playing. Hit F11 if you need to correct the emulator settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why am I not able to run the NO$Zoomer.exe document onto my Mac?

Executable (. Exe) files aren’t compatible with Mac operating systems. This emulator program functions for Windows operating systems only.

If you want to play Nintendo DS games on your Mac, then search for a harmonious emulator on Google.

  2. Why is my ROM not working?

Ensure you downloaded the original English edition of this ROM, rather than a translated or patched Japanese edition. The English models are usually labeled (U) for USA or (E) to get English.

If that did not work, try downloading it from another origin, as the one you are attempting to use could be corrupt.

  3. How can I save this game?

Open the menu by pressing the Q key on your keyboard (or, in case you changed the controllers, whichever key disagrees using the X button on the Nintendo DS).

If this does not work, be certain you unarchived that the No$GBA folder into a publicly writable directory. As an instance, your My Documents folder is a freely writable directory, while your Program Files folder isn’t (it needs administrator consent ).

If a user profile is set as an administrator, then you might also try running NO$Zoomer as a administrator. To get this done, click the document and then click”Run as administrator.”

  4. What are other Codebreaker or Action Replay codes I can use to deceive?

I really don’t know any; hunt for them on Google.

  5. Why is wifi not working?

So far as I knowthe wifi built into No$GBA is not compatible with all the wifi utilized using all the ROMs. I have observed some work-arounds, though, and several other emulators may have wifi compatibility with Pokémon games. If you’d like wifi, you will need to search on Google and experiment with emulators and software yourself.

  6. What’s the No$GBA crashing, malfunctioning, or even not working?

I didn’t make it, so that I don’t know. To find out more about No$GBA, visit its official site at http://nocash.emubase.de/gba.htm.
